Roland Friedberger Design was founded in 1990 and began as a product design studio in the fields of sporting goods and fashion for international brands such as Intersport Group, Masita Sportswear, Laura Chavin and Essence, (Davis Cup), Alpina Eyewear and Rossignol Ski. With the further development of marketing design and the production of high-quality catalogues, brands such as Wellendorff, High Society / REMC Monaco, Juwelier Wallner, Glashütte Original and SEIKO Germany have also become clients of the design studio.
The Bremen-based yacht building company Drettmann (1999-2007) brought a new theme world to the studio. This resulted in extensive CI / CD design concepts for the trade fair stands including bags and textile collections, porcelain series, accessories and of course high-quality catalogues for the brands. Bandido Yachts and Elegance Open were conceptually developed and the first yacht designs and styling modifications of the Elegance Yachts range were created during this time.
This was followed by brands such as Jade Yachts, Performance Marine and Messerschmitt Yachts. In 2011-2014, the portfolio grew with the refit of the Saluzi 69m MV yacht to include the interior (MCA / IMO), exterior redesign of constructions and, among other things, probably the most elaborate lighting design of a yacht for that time.
Many new ideas and visions followed, including Schaaf Boats (German Design Award Special and Boat International), and Solar Impact SWATH & Catamaran concepts; modern and innovative.
However, the passion for yachts did not ignore the HOME & Interiors sector. In this sector, too, individual, extraordinary objects are created, as individual as their owners.

We work with professional CAD tools such as Rhino to develop precise technical drawings and detailed 3D models. This creates a reliable planning basis that combines creativity and technical precision.
We select materials, colours and surfaces with the utmost care, giving each project its own character. Every texture, tone and surface is sensitively combined to create subtle contrasts or flowing harmonies, depending on the intention of the design.
